WORLD HOME OF BUNGY
Your visit to Queenstown just wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the World Home of Bungy. It was right here, in 1988, that commercial Bungy started. Nestled into the rock face over the stunning Kawarau River, the Kawarau Bungy Centre is a total visitor experience that offers something for everyone.
KAWARAU BRIDGE BUNGY:
If you've heard of Bungy, then you've heard of the Kawarau Bridge, home to the world's first and most famous of leaps. Forwards, backwards, by yourself, or with a friend.......it's up to you. It's also the only Bungy in Queenstown where you can choose to bob above the water, touch it, or get fully immersed. Located at the gateway to Queenstown, it's an essential component of every New Zealand visitor's itinerary.
NEVIS BUNGY:
The Nevis Highwire Bungy is Australasia’s highest, 134m above the rugged Nevis River. With 8.5 seconds of falling it’s a breathtaking ground rush like no other. Make no mistake; the Nevis Highwire Bungy is not for the nervous. Even just getting there is an adventure in itself with a 35 minute ride, including 4-wheel-driving through a high country sheep station. The whole experience is made complete by climbing aboard a cable car for a breath-taking trip out to the Bungy Pod. Then stand on the edge and face your fear in what is for many one of the greatest personal challenges of their life.
THE NEVIS SWING:
The Nevis Arc is the World's Highest Swing! Located next to the Nevis Bungy in the Nevis Canyon... Swing forwards, backwards, alone or with a friend. You will be suspended high above the canyon floor and release yourself, let your mates release you or leave it up to our crew. Then experience a massive rush of adrenaline as you find yourself accelerating through the canyon at mind blowing speeds in a 300m Arc!
LEDGE BUNGY:
This unique AJ Hackett Bungy site located in the heart of Queenstown will take your breath away. Ride the gondola 400 metres above Queenstown to the Skyline complex for panoramic views of Lake Wakatipu. Purpose built, the jump pod provides maximum rush combined with more Bungy choices than ever before. It's also the only place you can Bungy at night.
LEDGE SWING
Just as your brain convinces you the fall will never stop, you begin arching out 400 metres over Queenstown. The nightlife in Queenstown is famous for being fast and furious, so we decided to do the same with the Sky Swing. The Ledge Sky Swing is the only swing operating at night but it might pay to leave dinner until afterwards.
