About Magic Bus

Magic Travellers Network was born from a plan hatched in 1991 when 3 mates got together over a beer with a desire to share their love of NZ with like minded young travellers from all around the world. From a small operation in the early days Magic has since grown into one of NZ’s most well known, award winning, tourism companies.

Today, just like on day 1, Magic’s focus is still to provide a unique NZ experience and share everything the country has to offer with backpackers from all over the world. Magic Travellers Network now takes it’s passengers to all corners of New Zealand and provides them with unlimited opportunities to push their limits and have the experience of a lifetime – whatever that may be.

We must be doing something right as we’ve become arguably the most and highest awarded backpacker bus company going round. Among other highlights and a long run of success at previous events , 2008 produced an unprecedented sweep of the New Zealand Tourism Industry Awards.  Taking the line honours in both the Tourism Distribution and Visitor Transport categories; alongside the winning of the Tourism Transportation Services Major Category section; the Qualmark – Mark of Quality Award; and the big one, the overall Supreme Award. 

Magic Travellers Network was also New Zealand’s first Qualmark Endorsed Visitor Transport Network. This enables you to book Magic Travellers products with confidence! The QualmarkTM endorsement programme is designed to identify professional and trustworthy operators and the assessment looks at all the aspects that affect the quality of a customer’s experience. The QualmarkTM endorsement system is backed by Tourism New Zealand, NZ Automobile Association and Tourism Industry Association.
