Magic's New Zealand travel passes let you have the best of both worlds. 

We offer you access to the very best New Zealand has to offer with the flexibility of being able to travel at your own pace.  You can get off the coach anywhere en route and book your next sector with your driver. You can plan a trip that takes you 2 days, 2 weeks, 12 months, or you can throw plans out the window and take each day as it comes!

Transport Only Passes

The original and completely flexible travel option allows you total freedom to enjoy your hop-on, hop-off New Zealand adventure. With your Transport Pass in hand you choose where you want to go, what you want to do and where you want to stay. Absolute endless possibilities await for an unforgettable and hassle-free trip. Only with Magic. 

Divided into National Passes or single Island Passes, choose the best pass for you and start planning your trip of a lifetime.  With the dedicated services of one of our awesome driver guides, you'll have the confidence that everything is taken care of including access to great activities and drops offs and picks ups from our recommended hostel accommodation not to mention their great stories along the way. Every Transport Pass is valid for 12 months from your first date of travel and be sure to look out for the Unlimited Travel option on selected passes allowing you to travel the circuit as often as you like.

Transport and Accommodation Passes

 

Flexi Beds

Great for travellers who know their arrival date but haven't yet finalised the rest of their itinerary.

The completely flexible travel option that provides you all the benefits of Magic's Flexi Bus transport pass but with beds added on. Flexi Beds packages are ideal for those travellers who want the security of knowing you have paid for accommodation and still want the flexibility to travel when and where you want. Choose from a great choice of twelve different Magic Transport Passes combined with 10, 14, 21 or 28 pre-paid YHA hostel accommodation vouchers. Vouchers can be exchanged at any one of YHA's New Zealand hostels and allow you to stay as long as you want. Flexi Beds accommodation is based on a shared basis with linen, duvets and pillows provided. All hostels have modern, fully equipped kitchens and comfortable lounges to relax after a busy and exciting day.

Your Flexi Beds package includes:

• Magic Flexi Bus Transport Pass.
• 10, 14, 21 or 28 nights YHA multi-share accommodation vouchers.
• YHA New Zealand membership.
• Transport by ' Super Shuttle' from the airport to your YHA hostel on arrival.
• Pick up and drop off to your hostel door.

Please Note: 

- If you want to guarantee your bed we advise you to book your next nights stay in advance.
- Flexi-bed packages are NOT available for purchase in New Zealand.
- 72 Hours notice is required to confirm Flexi Beds packages.
- When booking a Flexi Beds package please advise your arrival flight details and Magic will book your first nights accommodation at the YHA.
- Passes are valid 12 months from the first day of travel.

Fixed Beds

Ideal for travellers who know their travel dates and want the assurance of pre-booked transport and accommodation.

Are you the type of traveller that is limited for time but still wants to experience the best New Zealand has to offer? Do you want the security of having your New Zealand trip pre-planned and pre-booked for you? Then our advice is to choose a Fixed Beds package where your transport and accommodation is pre-paid and your booking is confirmed allowing you to sit back, relax and enjoy a hassle free adventure.

Your Fixed Beds package includes:

• Fixed Magic Transport
• Pre-booked accommodation
• 1 night pre tour accommodation
• Transport by ' Super Shuttle' from the airport to your accommodation when you arrive
• Pick up and drop off to your hostel door  
• Inter-island ferry crossing if applicable

Room types available:

• Dorm: Shared bunks / domitory for 4 - 10 people.
• Share twin: Private room with 1 double or two separate beds, shared bathroom facilities.
• Single: Private room with 1 bed, shared bathroom facilities.
• Single ensuite: Private room and bathroom with 1bed.
• Twin ensuite: Private room and bathroom with 1 double or two separate beds.

Please note:

When you arrive in New Zealand you will be taken to your accommodation by 'Super Shuttle'. A full detailed itinerary will be emailed to you prior to the tour or we can leave these at the reception of your first accommodation if you prefer.

When you book a Fixed Beds package your arrival date is taken to be the start of the tour. We book accommodation from this night and your Magic Bus departure for the next day.All itineraries can be changed to add more days and nights but extra costs apply. 

Fixed Beds packages are operated by our sister company NZVentures and utilise Magic Travellers Networks departures as well as using a variety of New Zealand hostels & motels for their accommodation options.

Magic Connections

Looking for something a little bit More? Some of New Zealand’s finest scenic journeys are available as Magic Connections, which you can either add on to your pass or buy separately. These amazing 1, 2 or 3 day trips often get you further off the beaten track allowing you to engage with local New Zealand. If the transport pass you have chosen does not include the Bay of Islands, Coromandel,  Abel Tasman or Milford Sound. We strongly recommend you to find a few more days in your itinerary and add these great trips in!

Magic Volunteers

Here’s your chance to give something back and Get Green Feet whilst you hop-on and hop-off around New Zealand. The Magic Volunteer package offers you the chance to get involved with the Magic Forest restoration project, the creation of an eco-corridor of native vegetation which will join two of New Zealand’s established rainforests. You will get involved in different forms of habitat restoration, join community groups on their environmental projects, work with indigenous Maori people and their culture, complete valuable monitoring work and learn and practice real field skills in conservation management. After completing your volunteer experience, we guarantee you will leave New Zealand with a sense of personal reward and satisfaction that you have contributed to Magic’s sustainable conservation project.
