Magic makes travelling in New Zealand hassle free. As you can imagine in the peak of summer we have many coaches all over the country and people getting on and off everywhere. Following is a list of suggestions we ask you to consider in order to make your experience and that of your fellow travellers, a fantastic one!!

  1. If you have a travel agent’s voucher - see your driver and exchange it for a Magic ticket.
  2. If you get off the coach book your next sector with your driver. If you change your mind please ring one of the numbers in the brochure and advise them of the change.
  3. If you are unsure when you are going to move please allow at least 24 hours notice, particularly in the summer. When you ring to book your next sector please have ready your PNR number, hostel, town, and date you wish to travel .
  4. Organise your belongings in the morning and make sure you have everything you need for the day in your daypack ? not in the luggage bins under the coach. i.e. towels, swimsuits, book, camera, extra film, raincoat, sunblock and money.
  5. Please be ready to leave at least 10 minutes before your pickup time in the morning and have your ticket ready to be checked. In summer pick ups take longer due to the large numbers so being ready on time is a great help.
  6. Timetables change and more services are added during the summer months. Please check with your driver to make sure you have the most up to date timetable.
  7. Your driver will book accommodation at the overnight stops, however if you are getting off in between those stops you will need to book accommodation yourself.
  8. We have provided you with a selection of great hostels which have been recommended by past travellers. Your driver will make every effort to book the accommodation you request. If you want to be assured of a single, twin or double room it is often better to ring yourself well in advance. You will often need to give the hostel a credit card number in order to guarantee this accommodation. Taupo, Nelson and Queenstown particularly are very busy in summer. Remember we only drop off and pick up at the hostels listed in our timetable. If you change your plans please remember to cancel any pre-booked accommodation.
